中頻點焊機工作時給兩個金屬電工件加壓,使兩層金屬在兩電的壓力下構成的接觸電阻,而焊接電流從一電流經另一電時在兩接觸電阻點構成瞬時的熱熔接,且焊接電流瞬時從另一電沿兩工件流至此電構成回路,不傷及被焊工件的內部結構。點焊機是選用雙面雙點過流焊接的原理。
